Dan Brown's new novel The Lost Symbol shows the dollar-bill version of the reverse side of America's Great Seal. Superimposed upon it is a six-pointed star, accompanied by the following narration:
"It was popular among conspiracy theorists as 'proof' that the Masons held secret influence over our early nation. When the six-pointed star was laid perfectly over the Great Seal of the United States, the star's top vertex fit perfectly over the Masonic all-seeing eye... and, quite eerily, the other five vertices clearly pointed to the letters M-A-S-O-N." (p. 278)
Symbologist Robert Langdon correctly dismisses this as "just a coincidence." But what we're not being told is this image is merely a smokescreen to distract us from the true conspiracy evidence of which is found in the only drawing of the pyramid & eye side made by the designers of the Great Seal of the United States.
